The Safehouse Ambience transmits a heartbeat message every 10 minutes with all the rest of the readings to notify the system that it is within range and operational.

Alarms are relayed in real-time to the user.
Data is relayed to the cloud, where it can be seen in Viper or exported to other services via APIs.
